We are hiring massage instructors to work in the United States and  Internationally.

Bodhi Panya Institute and its affiliated partner, Old Medicine Hospital Thai Massage School Shivagakomarpaj (OMH) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, are looking for experienced and enthusiastic massage instructors to join our School. This is a unique opportunity for massage instructors to further their own massage skills and gain experience in teaching and working with international instructors and students. We also offer online lecture teaching opportunities, which can provide you with the flexibility to work from home and teach students from around the world and also travel internationally to teach and learn. 

Bodhi Panya Institute is the Bay Area’s only massage school focusing on Traditional Thai Massage. We are approved by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education and the California Massage Therapy Council (“CAMTC”) and offer a 500-hour program in Traditional Thai Massage.  Our program prepares students to apply for CAMTC certification as a certified massage therapist. Bodhi Panya Institute is located at 38 Bryant Street, Suite 2 in San Francisco, in a beautiful South of Market location near the Embarcadero, close to public transportation and public parking. 

The ideal candidate should have East and West massage modality background and be willing to expand their skills in Traditional Thai massage and other massage techniques by training with our current instructors. Instructors will be responsible for teaching massage classes at our San Francisco location and may also have the opportunity to travel to Thailand to teach at Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. 

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of massage techniques to an international group of students.

  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practice sessions to enhance students' learning experience

  • Evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Develop and update curriculum materials to keep up with the latest massage industry trends and techniques

  • Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Certification as a massage therapist by the California Massage Therapy Council. 

  • At least three years of professional massage therapy experience.

  • Prior teaching experience is desired but is not required – but enthusiasm for teaching is required. 

  • Depending upon your teaching background, you may complete additional in-class teacher training in traditional Thai massage and/or other massage modalities by co-teaching courses with one of our experienced instructors. 

  • Have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

  • Excellent knowledge of traditional and modern massage techniques and the ability to effectively instruct and demonstrate these techniques.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for helping students succeed and a dedication to continuing education.
